Bill Smithson, 92, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away October 24, 2009. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at McGilley Antioch Chapel. Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre, Minn. He was an active member of Antioch Community Church for 40 years. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Leota Smithson. Survivors include his sister, Ila May Lewis, a niece, Christina Swinehart, two nephews, Gene and Brian Lewis, all of Eugene Ore.; and his extended family, Otis and Ann Rash, Deana Shafer, Parkville, Mo., Sheila Hunnell and Jim Osburn, all of Kansas City, as well as many friends.
